After they took flight Sir Gordon was on his Pegasus Skyswind. So Derrick, Rose, and Splendor were on their dragons Drake, Watero s Flow, and Golden Rage. They were all headed to the Blood Plains to check out the camp that the band of cavaliers spotted on their last mission to scout the kingdoms surrounding the Men of the Westo s kingdom. Once they reached the camp Sir Gordon ordered them to spread out and look for all the traps then report back to him. The traps they spotted are some fire mines and some lance throwers (a lance thrower is machine that throws lances directly at the enemy, and they reloaded by taking a lance from the rack right next to it with a wooden arm then putting it into position). So Sir Gordon decided to have the cavaliers wear some of the heaviest armored helms and disable the lance throwers. Sir Gordon summoned up all his skill and courage to disable the fire mines. After all the fire mines and lances throwers were disabled they started back to their dragons and the Pegasus the ground started to shake. Sir Gordon thought that this might be the new trap the undead had in store for them. Then as they looked around they saw the undead rising from the ground and starting to run after them with razor sharp swords and axes. They thought that all of them would die in a few seconds so they might as well take a stand and fight for their lives. Sir Gordon started to shout out orders like o Put your shields up! Take out your bows! Ready the Dragons, etc.o So Drake and took out his sword and shield then he started running toward the undead forces. With a swift few devastating attacks the undead squad heading toward Rose was destroyed. When that was taken care of Rose took out her rapier. As she started taking the defensive while Splendor was taking the offensive. Splendor ran up and almost immediately took a whole platoon with his chain lance. Rose was delivering swift and graceful attacks. Derrick in the front line with Sir Gordon was shooting down undead as the came forth and Sir Gordon was in single combat with the captain of the undead. So thats when Drake swooped down and turned the undead captain into molten bonemeal. Sir Gordon then took out his broad sword and cut his way to Derrick. Golden Rage was perched on an outcrop of rocks from a mountain ripping the rocks from where they were held and throwing them at the undead. Watero s Flow was summoning her fire and spitting blue flames upon the undead forces too. They all thought this must be the last wave but they were wrong. The undead kept on rising out of the ground in a constant flow of clacking bones. So Derrick told Sir Gordon and Splendor to raise their shield to protect Grace and himself form sword blows so they could shoot down the troops with their bows. After about twenty minuets Sir Gordon spotted a break in their flow. Saying the bunker underneath them was running out of undead troops. After a couple minuets of Derricks plan the undead were coming up about six hundred less than how they were coming up in the beginning. So Derrick said they should now switch to sword tactics and spread out so they can easily cut down the undead as they came. Once the last wave of twenty undead came up Drake couldn't help but spit fire on them. When it was over Sir Gordon said that they should immediately head back to the castle and wash up then report this to the monarch. So once they were in the court they all started to be taken away for they each had their own story to tell. So after they were all done with all their storyo s the cavaliers met up in their cabin and discussed about going after the undead without telling anyone. So after they made that decision they set out deep into Red Moono s Glare (summer). When they first crossed the border to the Blood Plains. They saw a beaten down path they landed and had a quick discussion about wether to go forth on foot or on dragon. They soon overruled Splendor about going on their dragons. So they ordered their dragons to stay put, once that was done they continued on foot. After traveling about one thousand meters down the path, it soon widened into an about 20 foot diameter path. Then after that the sun fell into the (mountains, a sunset) so they camped in the Blood Flood Flat. The Blood Flood Flat got its name for a reason, once in the year 1111 the Florians first moved into the Men of the Westo s territory to only discover a huge city recking the Mountain of Life that used to be there. So the Florians soon got mad and shot lighting down upon their new enemies. So the men readied their bows to shoot down the mages and the mages fell back into the Blood Plains in a specific region inside of the plains where the ground was completely flat so they camped there. After a few days the men caught up with them and a three week battle started. In the end the men won but they forever had a new enemy, So that was the story of the Blood Flood Flat. Once the sun rose the Derrick went hunting in the middle of his hunt he spotted a smoke cloud in the air. He decided to check it out after a through contemplating on wether to look at it or not. He decided to go look at it. So once he reached the area of which he saw the smoke cloud. Then over the horizon a small group of huts appeared. He flew over and was greeted by a volley of arrows. He tried desperately to dodge them but Drake his dragon was hit on the belly (one of the dragons weak points). The dragon started to lose altitude quickly. Not before long they were skimming the trees above the huts. Then a huge branch smashed into Drakeo s wing sending them hurling toward the ground. Pummeling into the ground, Derrick jumped out of the saddle and broke his leg. Drake had a broken wing and a punctured belly. Derrick then lead Drake into an uprising in the ground. That uprising soon lead into a gigantic cave system. Derrick soon heard the clatter of bones near the entrance of the uprising. Drake started toward the entrance but Derrick stopped him before Drake could reach the entrance. Derrick took out his sword and stood at the edge of a corner waiting for something to walk by. Nothing did. Derrick lead Drake near deposit of coal. Derrick put up his cowl to cover his mouth and mined some coal and started a fire. They soon found out that some iron was right above them and they were surrounded by stone. So Derrick started to mine and made a wall around their camp took some stone and made a furnace to smelt some iron. Then Derrick made an anvil and made the iron into a shield because his shield broke breaking his fall. Derrick then made some armor for Drake. Back at the camp Splendor and Rose were wondering where Derrick was. Splendor went to go look for Derrick but he fared the same of Derrick except Splendor led Golden Rage was lead into a different cave. Splendor then used the telepathic charm Rose put on him so they could communicate telepathically. Derrick told Rose what happened. Rose told him to continue the search but send his dragon back to her. So Splendor did as she said. About an hour later Splendor found the huts again and got greeted but a volley of javelins this time. Splendor blocked all the javelins that were coming his way. Then he took out his chain lance and threw at the undead shattering their bones in one swipe. Derrick and Drake were at home in their small cave like structure. Derrick had taken some food with him in his backpack. Then out of the blue they heard the clattering of bones again increasingly becoming louder and louder. Then he saw some rib bones fall on the floor before him. He looked up and saw Splendor crushing a skull with his hand. Splendor turned around and saw Derrick then with great happiness. After Splendor went and brought Derrick back to the camp. Derrick was put into his tent and was brought an emergency bag. Drake, outside, was being teated with a constant flow of lava. Splendor told them that he crushed the undead camp but found something interesting. It was a.....
