I find it easy to sometimes type a message that is over 300 characters, and I often spend a few minutes checking the character count with a different program. If PMC had an automatic character count in the message box then it would be easier to make sure that it is under 300 characters. Perhaps the count would turn a different color to tell you that you have gone over 300.
set status to In Progress, assigned Jaspooky. Feature now implemented on development branch, as well as not deleting 300+ character message when attempting to send.
It used to tell you when you tried to send a message over 300 character WITHOUT deleting the message, not sure what happened to that. Not that it solves the problem, but it was something at least.
