Downvote option
Why?
It would allow the community to express their disapproval for certain content. Currently even if the vast majority of users don't like some content, the few users that do like the content will use the upvote (diamond) feature. At first glance this can give the false impression of the general community liking the content.
To go one step further, downvotes should cancel out upvotes in the algorithms to list 'trending' or 'best' submissions. This would help members and visitors to find content that more accurately represents the community's preference.
An example of the problems that this feature might fix is the "OP Loot" data packs in the data packs section. There are dozens, even hundreds, of near-identical data packs that edit simply one or more loot tables. According to one poll, over 95% of the forum-active community is tired of these data packs, but due to the current upvote (diamond) system, they often get to the pop reel and flood the trending section.
Thank you for your time.
