But for most of my skins, and for DC in particular, it's just the result of growing up reading wayyyyy to many comicbooks. Especially my Dad's older ones.
Case in point, my Dad had the first issue of the two part miniseries that the above skin and panels are drawn from. I loved it, and read it over and over again, but only recently tracked down the second issue--which in turn inspired me to do this skin!
The movie was good, too, but it lost the politics of the comics. The TV Show dialed up the politics to great success. I honestly can't say enough about the show. It's amazing.
