So this is one of my oc's, her name is Aurora (referring to the aurora borealis that's surrounding her, yes ik it's basic, but i couldn't think of anything better)

Before telling the lore, you have to have some context
Basically, she's a sami girl (a group of people traditionally living in the northernmost parts of europe) maybe 100+ years back in time.
The sami people had many myths about the northern lights, such as many stories about children being taken away by the lights, or cursed by it or anything along those lines. Due to this, they feared it, and had many rules to follow regarding it.

These rules were things like; u should never talk abt it, point at it, sing at it, make fun of it, or wave a white cloth in front of it.
They believed that the northern lights were the spirits of the dead, specifically youmg girls who could not find peace in death, and damced upon the sky, spreading chaos and fear.
If u broke the rules, the lights would see u, get angry because u disrupted them and they'd take u, curse u or something similar.


Aurora had all her life been- well not exactly well. Her parents weren't the best, and often abandonded temporarily her as a child to do various different things.
Because of this she was kinda rebellious. She refused to tske part of religion, and didn't believe the myths.
She always wanted to prove herself, and swore to complete 5 tasks to do so. On her fifth task, she was to confront the northern lights, guovssahas.
She wore a white dress, which in the wind was like a white cloth. She also sang loudly at the lights, trying to get their attention. If she didn't, she'd be successful. But she wasn't. The lights came down to her, swirling around her, cursing her instead of taking her, so everyone could see she was wrong.

She didn't die, she had to live the rest of her life cursed, having to show how she was wrong.
