Supercapital Update

• 3 new ship classes:
  • Cruiser
  • Battlecruiser
  • Barge

Each new supercapital ship will require a reactor, ammunition, and fuel to operate. These reactors are quite expensive and take extensive industry setup and time to create. Battlecruisers and Barges are unable to enter planets, while cruisers are able to. Each reactor enhances the ships capabilities in different ways.

• New starship weapons / tools
  • Quad Turret
  • Tier 4 Mining Laser
  • Ion Turret
  • Arsenal Missile

These new weapons are all very powerful, Quad turrets are slow firing and slow velocity weapons that deal immense damage to capital ships. Ion turrets are a support weapon, where they will stop thrusters on starships in a radius upon hit. Tier 4 mining lasers will allow for the most production in the game via the new mining barge. Arsenal Missiles are a powerful anti-area shield missile for both battlecruisers and cruisers.

Required multiblocks for these new ships:

• Reactor Multiblock
  • With corresponding reactor cores:
  • Battlecruiser Reactor Core
  • Barge Reactor Core
  • Cruiser Reactor Core

Reactor cores & fuel tanks are required to make any supercapital fly. Fuel tanks run on Hydrogen Gas Canisters and a full tank can have up to 2.5 hours of pilot time. Be careful though, if your reactor is damaged in any way, it will immediately sink your ship, and if you run out of fuel, your ship will immediately be unpiloted. Be sure to protect these multiblocks on your ship!

     • Ammo Loader
     • Missile Loader
   These new industry multiblocks and custom items are mainly used in supercapital production, but also lay the framework for future expansions on industry via crafting compression and new items. Something to keep an eye out for, superconductors are a unique item that will only drop from Alien AI in AU and Trench. They are vital items as these are in every supercapital core!

   AI Refresh:

   • Glowing marker will also show for AI ships
   • Reworked spawning code to ease future expansion
   • Split the Alien faction into 2, Watchers and 吃饭人:
     • Watchers, which is currently comprised of the Verdolith, will be gaining a new Frigate lifeform
     • 吃饭人, which contains Mainbao and Malingshu.
   • Reworked pilot names to only use one at once, added new names.
   • AI Spawns will now only trigger around players piloting starships
   • Removed double spawn messages, only the later will now be sent.
   • Fixed bug where the Protector and Veteran privateer ships were Vestas
