The Last Knights Boat Race built over 2 weeks with the use of world edit and with help from some of my amazing staff team who have all given their permission for their builds to be shown.

This was built on flat world, hence the blue boarder to the map.

First challenge was building the landscape which was done using white wool and world edit including hollowing out the caves before going around and touching up the //smooth command by hand and then using world edit again to get the materials in. I think this is my most impressive landscaping work done so far and I learned a few new tricks along the way.

I then put the river through the map using world edit and then had to go around and place two block high barrier blocks all around the water by hand to stop people from cheating!

I then enlisted the help from my server staff as organics aren't my strong point.

I then copied the trees around the map and due to the map design and how world edit works (or at least my knowledge of it!) I then had to manually place all the flora, logs and bamboo including placing barier blocks on top of every bamboo to stop it growing an further. Fish and birds were also then manually added.

We ran the race for the first time and had a great turn out with one player saying it felt like being on a ride at Disney and the best thing they've seen in Minecraft! However, there were complaints about the cobwebs on the track, the track being too narrow and causing a bottleneck effect, and getting stuck on fish that were stuck on sea pickles.

So, Cobwebs on the track were removed, the track widened in places and lots of fish removed to hopefully make the race more enjoyable in the future. A personal thankyou to everyone who made this map possible including MJMiner for creating and editing the video.
