St. Dionysius is the Catholic Main Church of Krefeld in Germany. It was build 1752 in baroque style,, later in the 1840s it was extended again, but the Tower happened to appear too short for the people of the 19th century. So it was decided to build a new Tower. This was finished 1893-1894. The Tower was built in Gothic Revival style, and has a height of about 87 meters.

During the second world war, English terror raids have destroyed the city. So also the church which was in the center of the city.

Later it was rebuild but traces of destruction can still be seen. So for example the crossing tower is gone, and the tower is built a little more simpler.
