Presenting the famed R.M.S. Queen Mary! The famed Cunard liner that is dubbed "The Queen of the Sea". The Queen was launched on September 26, 1934, by her Majesty Queen Mary. May 27, 1936 she official began transatlantic service and captured the Blue Ribbon from the S.S. Normandie of that year. She kept that record until 1952 when the S.S. United States took the Ribbon. She was soon laid up in New York at the break of WWII along with the Queen Elizabeth and the Normandie. She was Decommissioned from war service in 1946 and commenced ocean service in 1947. After her career she was sold to the city of Long Beach, CA. Where she now rests at her permanent berth as the gateway to the sea. Her particulars are 1,019ft long, 119ft tall, and 39ft wide.
