Munich Airport or EDDM is the international airport of Munich. The airport is also called Franz Josef Strauss airport, it is named that in memory of the former Bavarian Prime minister. It is one of the busiest airports in Europe and this year it has been selected for Europe´s best airport. 3 airlines uses this airport has hub, they are: Air Dolomoti, Condor and Lufthansa(Including Lufthansa CityLine) are using it as their secondary hub besides Frankfurt and their third, Dusseldorf. In year 2012, Munich Airport handled more than 38 million passengers.

Terminal 1 is the older terminal and has a capacity of 25 million passengers per year. The terminal is subdivided into five modules called A, B, C, D and E. The newer Terminal 2 that opened in 2005 also has a capacity of 25 million passengers per year. Terminal 2 has two departure levels, G and H. Munich Airport has 2 runways but they are planning a third one.
