Carnival Triumph is the second ship in the highly successful Destiny class owned and operated by Carnival Cruise Line. She entered service in 1999, making her 15 years old at this time. At the time of her inaugural voyage, she was one of the largest cruise ships in the world, but has since been eclipsed by larger ships from other cruise lines that offer more amenities. However, one of the classic charms of the Triumph is her theme of famous places in the world. All public spaces on board are meant to reflect famous world landmarks, and the feeling of travelling around the world, the perfect theme for a cruise ship.

Sadly, Carnival Triumph is most famous for a cruise in February of 2013 when she lost power and was adrift at sea for 5 days before being towed to the port in Mobile, Alabama. But, as a result of this incident, she received Carnival's popular Funship 2.0 upgrades, with additions such as Guys Burger Joint and the Blue Iguana Cantina.

As far as the Minecraft replica goes, the Triumph was built in about three weeks of on and off work. She is a conversion of my Carnival Victory, which is also available on my page. The ships are drastically different on the inside, despite sharing similar exteriors. This is the first and currently the only Carnival Triumph in Minecraft with a full interior.
