Level 60 : High Grandmaster Programmer

This is my first post, but it is very simple. It just lets boats climb stairs. Place it in your datapacks folder, and have fun! 100% multiplayer compatible!!!

Version 2.0 is out! This update adds the ability for boats to go up slabs. Minecart compatibility for slabs and stairs is out as well! The chest boats can go up now as well!

doesn't work on 1.17.1 as of right now, it's telling me that the datapack is created for an older version of minecraft

you still should be able to shift it over and force it to load, you may have to type /datapack enable ##PACKNAME##

to force it to load

Any chance of updating to 1.18.1?
This is pretty nifty, but in 1.18.1 it dismounts you from the boat whenever the boat goes up a stair or slab.
Boat still traverses the blocks, though. If that information helps at all. :)

As the boat still travels up blocks, it is not on my high priority list to update, but I do plan on patching it soon. Thank you for your insight. I have mostly been developing my guns datapack and a new pack that should come out soon. Have a great day!

Mojang are doing humanity a terrible crime by not letting carts and boats climb half blocks.

This datapack really helped me in moving the shulker from endcity to overworld to create a shulker farm, as well as moving villagers. This datapack can even work on one staircase and work instantly without having to be careful about falling. this is a great innovation
