Part 2


(Its Unnamed as I haven't came up with a name for it yet) (Also this is just the beginning, I hope to post longer parts as I go on) (Also I'll get a cover for it when I discover more of what I want it to me)(Also this was all written by me, nothing was stolen and I did not use an AI)

I've been working on writing this story for I believe over a month now. Its still work in progress. This story takes place hundreds of years from now, now I'm not saying any of the things going on in the story will happen, as it is a figment of my imagination using my ideas and ideas from others. This Story takes place on this earth, yet hundreds of years from now. And now begin..







Chapter 1


Landon almost couldn’t believe the reality, he was standing there
watching as the dark furnished coffin carrying his father was gently
hoisted down, into the ground.


He just stood there,
staring, sorrow hanging heavily on his soul.



The sky was dark,
the sun though bright was barely peaking itself through the clouds,
making its presence almost unknown.


All around were
masses of darkness. Long faces, women in black, tears, men in tuxedos, and ‘Taps’ some of the lowest notes ever played on a
trumpet. They all didn’t help, but add to the darkness.


Landon tenses as he
looks down at his father’s grave. The man who he had known and loved, a man of great joy, who had seemed to have so much life in
him, had been taken in a blink of an eye. The truth was there yet, it was so painful almost to untrue to take it.



But, yet Landon knew
it, his life would never be the same again.


The truth was so
painful. Threatening to bring him down somewhere where he couldn’t
breath.



‘Father, why did
you have to die.’ The words come out in a mere whisper.


“Every man, must
have an end sometime” A voice comes from behind.



Startled Landon jerks around to see his mother standing there. Her eyes red, and face
accompanying them, her dainty hands entwined together.


“He was proud of
you, Son.”



Landon bites his lip embarrassed that he had been crying, he was supposed to be strong for
his mother, who was he a man crying.


“I know Mom...”



Mom nods gently relaxing her hands, her gaze now turning to look back at the grave,
Landon’s gaze follows.



A man in navy clothes stands, just behind the grave, the countries black and red
flag in his hands.



“He was a good
man.” The Colonel’s voice is deep yet soft in a way, Landon’s full attention goes to the man.

“No man is perfect, but Jeremiah
Cooper got pretty close to that I’d say, he stayed at his post, till the end.”



The man smiles. “He may be dead, but you must live on for him, He wouldn’t want you to give up and stop your life,” The man pauses as if unsure to say,
finally he speaks. “Be brave, Be strong.” With that the Colonel salutes the crowd, then walks off into the moving mass.


Landon’s watches
confused. “Be brave, Be strong.” What did he mean by that?
